Tyler Sutherland Walker

A 2005 Crater High graduate, Tyler was a Southern Oregon All-Conference first team softball player as a junior and senior and received All-State honors as a sophomore, junior and senior.  She helped Crater win the Southern Oregon Conference in 2004 and 2005 with a high school career batting average of .378.  She was a student government member and a member of the National Honor Society.

Tyler earned a scholarship to attend Western Oregon University where she played softball from 2007-2010.  In 2007 she was named Freshman of the Year in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference and First Team All-Conference.  In 2008 she was named to the NCAA West Region All-Tournament Team and again First Team All-Conference.

In 2009 she was named as the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of The Year, First Team All-Region, First Team All-Conference and named All-American honorable mention.  She was named First Team All-Conference her four years at Western.  She ranks among the top 10 at Western Oregon in many statistical categories including single season records: batting average .420, at bats 183, runs scored 47, hits 69, doubles 22, home runs 9, stolen bases 17 and walks 20.  She ended her Western Oregon playing years with career records including batting average .389, at bats 689, runs scored 159, hits 268, runs batted in 96, doubles 59, home runs 24 and stolen bases 48.  Tyler was inducted into the Western Oregon University Hall of Fame in 2015.

Tyler is married to her husband Kellen Walker and they have two daughters, Grace 5 ½ and Lucy 3.      Tyler is the owner of Gracy Lu’s, a boutique in Independence, Oregon.   Kellen is the head baseball coach at Western Oregon University.
