Class of 1955. Harvey earned 10 varsity letters in football, basketball and baseball. Harvey was all conference in football and basketball.

He played basketball and baseball at Southern Oregon University and baseball at Linfield College.

He was a teacher, coach, Athletic Director, Assistant Principal, and Principal at Scenic Middle School for 33 years before retiring in 1997. Harvey was awarded the John Pence Award for the outstanding Middle School Principal in Oregon in 1995

He is a professional starter in track having started the last 18 Southern Oregon Conference meets as well as working college meets.

He coached Malot’s Mudhens Mens Fastpitch Softball team to 5 consecutive state championships.

Harvey is a Co-Founder of the Crater Foundation and has been the President of the Foundation since its inception. Hundreds of kids seeking aid as they pursue their post high school goals have received thousands of dollars through the vision of Harvey and his co-workers.
