Class of 1954.  Gordy earned 16 varsity letters at Crater where he was a 2-year All Conference in football and basketball. He was an All American honorable mention in football and Academic All American 2 years in basketball at Southern Oregon State College.

He coached at Mapleton High School, Glide High School, Jesuit High School, and at Southern Oregon State College.
