Amy Densen

Class of 2002

Amy graduated from Crater High School in 2002 after setting numerous records in women’s basketball. She is the all-time leading scorer in Crater history with 1326 points. She is 2nd all-time in rebounds with 666. She currently still holds 16 school records in basketball. She was a three time First Team All-Conference player. She is the only player from Crater to ever be named the Oregon State Player of the Year as she led the Comets to three Conference titles and two state title games. After graduation from Crater she accepted a scholarship from Arizona State University where she was a four year starter, named to the All-Pac 10 Freshmen Team and appeared in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.Denson

Amy went on to play six years professionally overseas. In Puerto Rico she was three time Most Valuable Player and led the Puerto Rican team to a championship in 2009. In Romania she was named Import of the Year. In Australia she was three time all-star 5 honors in the SEABI Conference. In 2010 she was name MVP of the SEABL Conference. In 2011 she was All-Star 5 in the WNBL Conference. She appeared in Championships in 2010, 2011 and 2012. While in Spain she led her team to its 1st appearance in the Spanish Cup.

Amy returned to the Rogue Valley in 2013 working at Central Point Elementary School and was the Crater Varsity Girls Basketball Assistant Coach for two years.

Amy currently lives in Portland where she is Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Portland State University.
